April will be a huge month and not just for us but for many other businesses and retailers. Under the governments Covid Recovery roadmap, all non-essential retail was allowed to reopen from the 12th April. For us, it meant we could finally re-open our showroom in Bowden which is fully stocked with some stunning and elegant furniture pieces and accessories.

Livin’ Beauty Ceramics

We are very excited to announce that we will soon have on display in our showroom some original ceramic pieces by ‘Livin Beauty’ in Holland. Their ceramics are fired using some basic principles of the technique generally known as Raku. Key to this art is to pull the ceramics at high temperatures out of the kiln. After the clay mixture is poured, it comes out of the kiln and is extensively polished and then all patterns are engraved by hand. Characteristic of Livin beauty Ceramics is the application of unique glaze techniques in which they work with precious metals, silver and copper and sophisticated crackle techniques.
