Lana’s photographic work captures the images of places she has been to. These are images created by the lights of the cities at that particular moment in time and are never to be repeated, making them unique. These photographs look stunning when printed on glass or acrylic panels. They equally look very effective when printed on canvas.

Svetlana can hand finish and touch up some images to further enhance them and add some texture. Please contact for the quotation with the required size.

Prints are made to order at the size the wall needs, rather than sold in fixed formats. Printing on glass or acrylic suits images with strong light in them; canvas suits softer, more atmospheric work; paper and framing suits a room where the artwork should sit quietly.

The images shown here are a small part of the catalogue. If a room needs a particular palette or a particular proportion, it is usually possible to find something that fits, and prices depend on the size and the material, so it is worth asking with the wall measurement to hand.

The work

Printing, and the surface it goes on

The photographs are printed rather than framed conventionally, and the surface changes the image considerably. Printed on glass or acrylic they gain depth and reflect the room, which suits the night-time city images these mostly are. On a matte substrate the same image is flatter and calmer.

Size is decided by the wall rather than by a standard format, and prices are quoted against the size required. Some images are hand finished and touched up to add texture, which is closer to the painting side of the practice than to conventional photography.

Images that cannot be repeated

These are pictures of light: cities at a particular moment, and conditions that do not recur. That makes each image effectively unrepeatable rather than one of an open run, which is worth knowing if you are choosing between two.

They work well in rooms that are used in the evening, where the light in the picture and the light in the room are doing the same thing.

Commissioning

Pieces are available from the Bowdon showroom and by commission, sized and coloured to the room they will live in. Bring a photograph and a measurement of the wall and we can work from there.

Questions we get asked

What sizes are available?

Sizing is to the wall. Contact us with the dimensions you need and a price is quoted against them.

Glass, acrylic or paper?

Glass and acrylic suit the night images best. It is worth seeing an example in the showroom before deciding.

Can an image be hand finished?

Yes. Some are, to add texture, and that is agreed before printing.
