Bowls, vases, sculptural glass and decorative objects, the layer that makes a finished room look like somebody lives in it rather than like a showroom. All of it is stocked here.

Almost everything is a single piece. When one sells it generally cannot be reordered, which is why there is no catalogue on this page to go out of date. The current selection is kept up to date on Houzz, and the showroom is the real answer. See our Houzz profile

Accessories are also the easiest thing to get wrong on your own, because they only work in relation to everything else in the room. Bringing a photograph is usually enough.

A selection of past work

How accessories get chosen

Scale first. One large piece will do more for a console table than five small ones, and the commonest mistake is a scatter of objects that are all roughly the same size. Group in odd numbers, vary the height, and leave space around a group so it reads as deliberate rather than as things that ended up there.

Then material. A room that is already busy with pattern wants accessories that are quiet and sculptural. A room of plain surfaces can take colour and texture. Because the accessories here are bought alongside the fabrics and the lighting, that judgement is made with the rest of the scheme in front of you rather than afterwards.

Why the selection keeps changing

Accessories are usually single pieces. When one sells it generally cannot be reordered, which is why there is no catalogue on this page that would be out of date within a fortnight. It also means that if something in the showroom is right for your room, it is worth saying so at the time.

The current selection is kept up to date on our Houzz profile instead. See our Houzz profile

New pieces arrive through the year from the trade shows, so the showroom in March looks different from the showroom in October.

Seeing it in person

The showroom is at York House on Vicarage Lane in Bowdon, open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. An appointment helps but is not necessary. It is a retail showroom and you are welcome to walk in.

Questions we get asked

Can I buy accessories without a design project?

Yes. Plenty of people come in for one piece, and there is no obligation to take anything else.

Will you help place them?

In the showroom, always. On a design project the placing is part of the work.

Can you find something specific?

Often. Tell us the size, the wall or surface it is going on and the colours around it, and we will look at the next show if we do not already have a source.

Sculpture and wall pieces we can order in

Metal wall sculpture and freestanding pieces, beyond what is out on the floor. These are supplied rather than made here: Svetlana’s own work is on the art pages.
