This policy explains what personal information Lana Filippova Interiors collects, why, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website, enquiries, the newsletter and the design work we carry out for clients.

Who we are
Lana Filippova Interiors Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10567135, trading from York House, Vicarage Lane, Bowdon WA14 3BA. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
For anything to do with your information, email info@lanafilippovainteriors.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
What we collect and why
Enquiries. When you contact us through a form on this website, by email, by phone or in the showroom, we keep your name and contact details, what you tell us about your home or project, and our replies. We use them to answer you, arrange a visit and prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
Clients. If you become a client we also hold the address of the property, measurements, photographs and drawings of the rooms, the choices made for the scheme, orders, deliveries and payments. We need these to carry out the work we have agreed with you, and we keep financial records because the law requires it.
The newsletter. If you sign up, we keep your email address (and your name, if you give it) to send you the newsletter. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any newsletter or emailing us, and we will stop.
Use of the website. We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, the type of device and browser, and how people arrived. It works with cookies and does not tell us who you are. We only use it if you accept optional cookies in the banner, so our lawful basis is your consent.
Protecting our forms. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a message is being sent by a person rather than an automated program. To do that it processes technical information such as your IP address and details of your browser. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam and abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we only share it where we need to:
- with the workshops, makers, suppliers and fitters involved in your project, limited to what they need to measure, make, deliver or install it;
- with the companies that host this website and handle our email;
- with Google, for analytics and the map on our contact page if you accept them, and for the fonts the website loads, and with Cloudflare, for the spam check on our forms;
- with our accountants and professional advisers, and where the law requires us to.
Some of these providers, including Google and Cloudflare, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. Their own policies are at policies.google.com/privacy and cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
The social media icons on the website are plain links. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and Houzz receive nothing from us unless you follow one of them, and once you are on their site their own policy applies. The Houzz badge in the footer is an image loaded from Houzz.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to two years after we were last in touch.
- Client and project records: six years after the end of the project, which is how long financial records have to be kept and how long a claim about the work could be brought.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Website analytics: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the website to work and are always on:
- A session cookie (PHPSESSID), which keeps the forms working while you use the site and is deleted when you close your browser;
- Your cookie choice (lfi_consent), which remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask on every page. It lasts 180 days;
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which may store short-lived technical data while it checks a form submission.
Two things are optional, and neither is used until you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit:
- Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which tell repeat visits from new ones and can last up to two years;
- The Google map on our contact page is provided by Google, which sets its own cookies when the map loads. If you have not accepted, the map stays hidden until you press “Show the map”, and a plain link to Google Maps is always there instead.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. Rejecting after accepting deletes the Google Analytics cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie may stop the forms from working, in which case email us instead.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or pass it to you or another organisation in a portable form. You can object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. Some of these rights have limits: we cannot delete records the law requires us to keep, for example.
To make a request, email info@lanafilippovainteriors.co.uk. There is no charge, and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. See also our terms of use.
